Secretary of Energy Jennifer Granholm set out on a four day road trip from Charlotte, N.C., to Memphis, Tenn., in order to draw attention to the White House’s billion dollar investments into green energy and electric vehicles. There were not enough chargers at many of the suburban spots and the chargers that were available were too busy. This drew attention to the cumbersome planning, lack of chargers, and slow charging time that electric vehicles require.
