Ford Motor Company has partnered with 2 South Korean companies, EcoProBM and SK On, to build a manufacturing plant in Canada. This will be a cathode manufacturing plant and it is set to begin production in 2026. This plant will supply materials for Ford’s future electric vehicles. This $900 million investment will be Ford’s first investment in Québec and will offer over 300 jobs for Canadians. They will be manufacturing high quality Nickel Cobalt Manganese for rechargeable batteries. Ford states that these materials will produce higher quality materials.
