Cummins, an engine and alternative power manufacturer, is set to invest $1 billion in updating their manufacturing facilities in Indiana, North Carolina, and New York. This investment is set to manufacture low- to zero-carbon engines which will help decarbonize trucks across the nation. The investment aligns with President Biden’s visit to the Cummins Power Generation Facility in Fridley, Minnesota, as part of his “Investing in America tour.” Additionally, Cummins plans to manufacture electrolyzers in Minnesota for the first time. Electrolyzers are a critical input for clean hydrogen production which will help power hydrogen fuel cell vehicles.
